The Tree Commission’s mission is to increase greenery in the Bellevue Community by managing and expanding our public trees in order to keep and improve our air quality, provide shade for streets and homes, provide mental health benefits, and add aesthetic and property value to our neighborhood.
The Tree Commission realizes the City of Bellevue’s potential as a community that mends urban forestry with the quaint city life. Having a blend of both natural and urban culture. The Bellevue Tree Commission’s vision is to increase the urban forests footprint within the city.
Bellevue Tree Commission’s 2025 goal is to plant 40 trees by November 15, 2025.

Street trees are maintained by the City of Bellevue Public Works Department. This includes the pruning, watering, removal, and general upkeep of all City-owned trees.
