2026 WEBN/RIVERFEST FIREWORKS — IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BELLEVUE

Planning to come to Bellevue for the WEBN/Riverfest Fireworks on Sunday, September 6, 2026? We’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to our city. Please review the following information before you arrive so everyone can enjoy a safe and successful evening.

NO TAILGATING

The No Tailgating Ban will be strictly enforced throughout the Riverfest Event Area.

Tailgating is prohibited on:

• Public rights-of-way

• City-owned property, including parks

• Private property within the Riverfest Event Area

Once you park, you may not consume alcohol or grill at your vehicle. Open containers in public are a violation of Kentucky law and will be enforced accordingly.

DON’T FOLLOW YOUR GPS

Traffic patterns throughout Bellevue, Newport and Covington will be altered for Riverfest.

Your GPS may attempt to send you down a street that is closed or operating differently than normal.

Follow posted signs and the directions of police officers instead of your GPS.

EXPECT DELAYS AFTER THE FIREWORKS

With thousands of pedestrians and vehicles leaving at the same time, traffic will not begin moving immediately after the show.

Northbound I-471 ramp: Will remain closed until pedestrian traffic clears the event area. Expect approximately 30–60 minutes before westbound traffic is permitted to move on Fairfield Avenue.

Southbound I-471 ramp: Will remain closed until shuttle buses have departed Dave Cowens Drive, approximately 45 minutes after the fireworks.

Memorial Parkway ramps will remain OPEN and are strongly recommended.

Remember: Everyone didn’t arrive in Bellevue at the same time, and everyone can’t leave at the same time. Please be patient and follow officers’ directions.

PARK LEGALLY

All parking regulations will be enforced throughout Bellevue.

Vehicles blocking roadways or parked in prohibited locations will be towed.

RIVERFEST PARKING RESTRICTIONS

The following restrictions will be in effect to maintain emergency routes and help move traffic efficiently after the fireworks:

Berry Avenue — No parking on the west side from Covert Run to Geiger Avenue. No parking on either side from Geiger Avenue to Wilson Road.

Bonnie Leslie Avenue — No parking on either side from Berry Avenue to Wilson Road.

Wilson Road — No parking on the west side from Bonnie Leslie Avenue to Memorial Parkway.

Memorial Parkway — No parking on the north side from Wilson Road to Taylor Avenue.

Taylor Avenue — No parking on the south and west sides from Bonnie Leslie Avenue to Memorial Parkway.

Fuhrman Avenue — No parking on either side from Van Voast Avenue to O’Fallon Avenue.

O’Fallon Avenue — No parking on either side from Fuhrman Avenue to Grandview Avenue.

Grandview Avenue — No parking on either side from O’Fallon Avenue to Harrison Avenue.

STREET CLOSURES — 5:30 PM

Beginning at 5:30 PM Sunday, September 6:

Glazier Avenue — Wilson Road to Taylor Avenue

Bonnie Leslie Avenue — Berry Avenue to Sherry Avenue

Geiger Avenue — Lafayette Avenue in both directions to the end

Anspaugh Avenue — Berry Avenue to Taylor Avenue

Cleveland Avenue — Berry Avenue to the dead end

Observatory Avenue — Grandview Avenue to the dead end

TRAFFIC FLOW CHANGE

Berry Avenue, normally one-way northbound from Bonnie Leslie Avenue to Cleveland Avenue, will temporarily become two-way traffic until Riverfest traffic clears the city.

ADDITIONAL CHANGES DURING & AFTER THE FIREWORKS

Beginning at 8:00 PM, Fairfield Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic at Riviera Drive until pedestrians and shuttle buses have cleared the I-471/Dave Cowens Drive area.

Riviera Drive will be closed to northbound traffic during the fireworks and will remain closed until the I-471 ramps reopen.

PLEASE HELP US KEEP RIVERFEST SAFE

A tremendous amount of planning goes into Riverfest each year to keep our residents, visitors, pedestrians and motorists safe.

Please be patient with traffic, follow officers’ directions, respect our neighborhoods and do not block driveways or private property.
