October is Pedestrian Safety Month in Bellevue

This month, we’re putting extra focus on something that matters every day: keeping everyone who walks, drives, bikes, and travels through Bellevue safe.
Pedestrian safety is a shared responsibility. For drivers, that means slowing down, staying alert, and watching carefully for people crossing the street. For pedestrians, it means using crosswalks when available, staying visible, and taking an extra moment to make sure drivers see you before crossing.
Bellevue is a walkable community, and we want everyone — our children, families, neighbors, and visitors — to feel safe getting where they need to go.
Throughout October, we’ll be sharing reminders and helpful information about how all of us can do our part to make Bellevue’s streets safer.
Slow down. Stay alert. Look out for one another.
