Beat the Heat: Stay Cool. Stay Safe. Stay Alive.

As temperatures rise, so do the risks of heat-related illnesses. The Bellevue-Dayton Fire Department encourages everyone to take simple precautions to protect yourself and those around you. Stay hydrated, spend time in air-conditioned spaces, wear light-colored clothing, and avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.

Know the warning signs of heat exhaustion, including heavy sweating, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, and cool, pale skin. If symptoms become severe or someone shows signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately.

Don’t forget to check on neighbors, seniors, young children, and anyone without reliable air conditioning. A quick phone call or visit could make all the difference.

Stay cool. Stay safe. Stay alive. Together, we can beat the heat.
