Happy Halloween, Bellevue! Trick-or-treating is Saturday, October 31, from 6-8 p.m. Help keep the evening safe with these reminders:
• Be seen. Carry flashlights or glow sticks and use reflective tape on costumes and bags.
• Walk safely. Use sidewalks and crosswalks, look both ways, and never dart between parked cars.
• Stay together. Accompany young children and set a route and return time for older children.
• Choose safe costumes. Make sure they fit, are flame-resistant, and don’t block vision.
• Check candy. Inspect treats and check labels for allergens before eating.
• Decorate safely. Use battery-operated candles and keep walkways clear.
Drivers: Slow down, put distractions away, and watch for children, especially near intersections and driveways.
Let’s make it a safe and spooktacular Halloween!
