Project includes resurfacing portion of Grand Avenue (KY 1892) and Memorial Parkway (KY 1120) at a later date
COVINGTON, Ky. (March 25, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming resurfacing project on a portion of Mary Ingles Highway (KY 8) in Campbell County beginning Friday, March 27.
Crews will be resurfacing Mary Ingles Highway from the intersection of Industrial Road (KY 8) and KY 445 (2.87 mile point) extending east to just past Maple Road (4.79 mile point), a distance of 1.92 miles.
Weather permitting, beginning Friday, March 27, crews will be addressing base failures. This work will require single lane closures during the working hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Flaggers will be on-site to guide traffic safely through the work zone. This work is expected to take approximately four days.
Once base failure repairs have been completed, crews will return to the project area in the coming weeks to begin milling/paving operations. This work has not yet been scheduled. KYTC will provide an update once these operations have been scheduled.
This resurfacing is part of a larger resurfacing project that includes a portion of Grand Avenue (KY 1892) and Memorial Parkway (KY 1120). KYTC will provide updates once that portion of the project has been scheduled.
Riegler Blacktop Inc. is contracted to perform the $1,564,651 project on behalf of KYTC. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.
