A Level 1 Snow Emergency has been declared effective noon Saturday January 24. This is because of a winter storm warning and the forecast of heavy snow.
Drivers in the City of Bellevue should park their vehicles in their driveways if there is room, and not park them on the street. This is especially true for cul-de-sacs. Drivers should park their vehicles as close as they can to curbs to allow the snow plows to move on the street.
The City of Bellevue has four snow blade trucks ready to go in the event of heavy snow, and a back-up truck. “The snow will be a disruption and we do the best we can to plan for the event, and we’re sorry for any inconvenience,” said City Administrator Frank Warnock. “We want everyone to be safe, and we want our streets to be passable for vehicles as soon as reasonable practical. Please be patient, and we’ll do the best we can.”
